Jérôme de Oliveira

Since the age of 4, Jérôme has always wanted to be a pastry chef. Born into a family where the taste of cooking and good things are very present, he immediately becomes passionate about pastry and the creativity that comes from it. He has fun with perfume combinations, the interplay of textures, shapes, colors...the boundless richness of gourmet delights!

Originally from Lyon, he did his apprenticeship there: BEP, BAC PRO then BTM at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Pâtisserie in pocket, he made his debut alongside a big name, Sébastien Bouillet, Relais Desserts International. Wanting to progress with his idol, Jérôme then gave himself the means to integrate Christophe Michalak's brigade at the Plaza Athénée.

From competition to competition, Jérôme proves to us that he loves the challenge and that it succeeds since he comes out winner of the World Cup of Sweet Arts in 2007, and fulfills his dream in 2009, by becoming the youngest World Champion of Pastry at just 23 years old.

After 5 years at the Plaza, he left his position as sous-chef in April 2011 and took on a new challenge by settling in Cannes to create the « Intuitions » pastry, an expression of his generosity.

In September 2015, he won the recognition of the greatest names in pastry by joining the Relais Desserts and thus becomes the youngest member of the Relais Desserts.

As a gift for the 5th anniversary of Intuitions in April 2016, Jérôme now also offers his creations in a new space dedicated to sweet and savoury delicacies, at 35 rue Hoche in Cannes.

Since October 31, 2018, Jérôme De Oliveira's creative laboratories have been hosting a small sales space within the Bois de Grasse activity park.
