Denis Fétisson

Restaurant :

Originally from the Grenoble region, Denis Fétisson discovered his passion for cooking at an early age, inspired by nature and seasonal ingredients. After solid training and experience alongside some of the greatest chefs — including Alain Ducasse — he developed a personal style that is precise and deeply respectful of local traditions.

Drawn by the richness of Mediterranean products and the Provençal art of living, he chose to settle in the South of France. In 2009, he opened La Place de Mougins, an elegant restaurant in the heart of the village, where he reinterprets classic dishes with freshness and creativity.

Highly acclaimed, he was awarded the title of “Grand de Demain” by Gault & Millau, and earned a Michelin Plate distinction.

Denis Fétisson advocates for a seasonal cuisine that highlights local producers, market gardeners, fishermen, and breeders around him. His menu evolves with the markets and harvests.

At La Place de Mougins, every dish tells a story — of a region, a season, a craft — reflecting the image of a chef deeply passionate about the product and the precision of each gesture.

“Nature is my primary source of inspiration. Every seasonal product guides me toward a sincere and vibrant cuisine.”
